Kolekcia Harvard Classics voľne dostupná v digitálnej podobe

Charles W. Eliot patril počas svojho života k vplyvným prezidentom Harvardu. Vo svojich prejavoch často opakoval tvrdenie, podľa ktorého je možné dosiahnuť riadne liberálne vzdelanie čítaním 15 minút denne z kolekcie kníh, ktoré sa zmestia na 1,5 metrovú (five foot) policu.  Vydavateľstvu P. F. Collier and Son sa tento nápad zapáčil natoľko, že Eliotovi navrhli aby zostavil kolekciu tých správnych diel. Výsledkom bola 51 zväzková séria publikovaná v roku 1909 s názvom Dr. Eliot’s Five Foot Shelf. Neskôr sa začala táto kolekcia nazývať jednoducho Harvard Classics (Harvardské klasiky). Vyštudoval Hudobnú vedu na Filozofickej fakulte Univerzity Komenského v Bratislave. Momentálne pokračuje na tejto katedre ako interný doktorand kde sa venuje výskumu hudobno-historických pamiatok a využitiu nových médií pri ich spracovní. Vo voľnom čase občas prispieva recenziami do rôznych periodík, číta knihy, pozerá filmy a je veľkým fanúšikom seriálu X-Files.
